Google Clock Adds Swipe Option
Google is changing how you turn off alarms in the Google Clock app.
Before, you had to tap a big button, which was easy to do by accident.
Now, you can choose to swipe left to snooze or swipe right to turn off the alarm.
This new feature is being tested first with some users and will be available to everyone soon.
You might not see it right away, even if you have the latest version of the app.
The feature is called 'Dismiss alarms with a swipe gesture or button' and is part of Google Clock version 8.5.
Google Clock introduces a new setting to choose between swipe gestures or button taps to dismiss alarms.
Swipe left to snooze and swipe right to dismiss alarms when the gesture option is enabled.
A confirmation step is added to prevent accidental dismissals or snoozes.
The feature is part of Google Clock v8.5 and is being rolled out gradually.
The feature is controlled by a server-side flag, so it may not be immediately available to all users.
