CPI(M) Leader Says Left Curbed RSS Influence in Kerala

P Jayarajan is a leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

He said the Left movement helped stop the RSS from becoming more powerful in Kerala.

He accused the UDF government led by V.D. Satheesan of making it easier for the Sangh Parivar to grow.

The government’s position was not included in the report.

Jayarajan said Kerala’s social reform traditions also help people resist these ideas.

He warned that religious divisions are becoming stronger in India.

He said these divisions are connected to business interests.

He also criticized the Indian Union Muslim League and compared it to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
