Chumbak Part 2: Messy Comedy Still Delivers Laughs
Chumbak is a comedy show about families who live in the same colony.
In the second half of its first season, the families try to uncover a secret about Mickey Oberoi.
Other neighbors have their own problems, including romance, arguments, and a possible demolition of their colony.
The show has lots of silly characters and confusing situations.
The reviewer says this part is not as funny all the time as the first half.
Some episodes also feel longer than they need to be.
But the neighbors care about one another, even when they argue.
That friendship makes the show warm and entertaining.
The reviewer recommends it for a relaxed weekend watch.
The second half of Chumbak’s 16-episode first season was released recently on Netflix.
The story focuses on Twinkle and Mickey Oberoi as the colony’s families join forces to expose Mickey’s womanizing.
Other storylines include Rajini’s new romance, a family divorce dispute, and a demolition notice for Chumbak Colony.
The review says Part 2 has fewer consistently successful jokes and some subplots feel like background noise.
Despite stretched final episodes, the reviewer praises the characters’ warmth and the residents’ bond.
