Andhra Pradesh to Use Space Tech for Real-Time Governance
The government of Andhra Pradesh is teaming up with India's space agency, ISRO, to use satellite technology.
They signed an agreement to use satellites to provide real time information to the public and government.
This information will be used to improve things like agriculture, predict the weather, and manage disasters.
A system called AWARE will collect data from various sources and send alerts to both citizens and government officials via SMS, WhatsApp and other channels.
Andhra Pradesh partnered with ISRO to use space tech for real-time governance.
A five-year MoU was signed between ISRO's SHAR and RTGS.
The partnership enhances the AWARE platform.
Satellite data will feed into 42 applications including agriculture and disaster management.
Alerts are disseminated through various channels.
