Russian Strikes Kill Two in Kyiv, Ending Weekend Pause

Russian Strikes Kill Two in Kyiv, Ending Weekend Pause

Russia attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones overnight on Tuesday.

Two people died and at least 10 people were hurt in the capital.

Buildings and other civilian places were damaged in many locations.

Fires broke out in at least five Kyiv districts.

Rescuers saved people and evacuated others from damaged buildings.

Ukraine said it stopped or reduced the impact of many missiles and drones.

Other regions, including Odesa and Kharkiv, were also hit.

The attack followed a pause over the weekend while U.S. envoys visited Kyiv to help seek an end to the war.
