Syngene Q1: Revenue up 11% on strong demand, PAT growth to slow
Syngene, a company that helps other companies with research and manufacturing, had a good start to the year with increased sales and profits.
This was because more projects started as small tests that then grew into larger programs.
The company is also expanding its manufacturing of medicines.
Profits grew a lot, but are expected to slow down because of the cost of new facilities.
Syngene is seeing more business, particularly from companies that want to try new things, and from increased demand to outsource work.
Syngene International reported an 11% revenue growth in Q1 FY25.
Profit After Tax (PAT) jumped 61% to ₹87 crore due to strong research services and a one-off gain.
The company expects PAT growth to moderate due to depreciation from new facilities.
Pilot projects are converting into full-scale programs, and biologics facility expansion is underway.
Manufacturing is expected to contribute more in coming quarters, especially from new facilities.
