BGauss sees Tamil Nadu as key electric two-wheeler market

BGauss is a company that makes electric scooters, which run on batteries instead of petrol.

The company is six years old and has sold about one lakh scooters in India.

A place called Tamil Nadu is becoming a very important market for them.

About one out of every five scooters BGauss sells in India is bought in Tamil Nadu.

The company has 29 shops, called dealerships, in Tamil Nadu, and each one has a workshop for repairs.

People in big cities like Chennai and Coimbatore are buying electric scooters for daily travel and for delivering food and groceries.

People in smaller towns are also starting to buy them.

In smaller towns, having a trusted local shop and good service helps people decide to buy.

BGauss sells models like the BG Oowah, BG RUV 350 and BG Max C12 for more than ₹1.22 lakh.

In July, the company sold 5,518 electric scooters across India.
