Allegations of Abuse in Pan Masala Baron's Family
Deepti Chaurasia, the daughter-in-law of a wealthy pan masala baron, died in her home in Delhi.
Her mother has filed a police report saying that Deepti was abused for many years.
The report says that when Deepti was pregnant, her husband and mother-in-law dragged her and hit her.
Later, she found out her husband was cheating and went back to her parents.
But when she returned, the abuse started again.
She was left out of family events and was not allowed to use her husband's phone.
On the day she died, she had an argument with her husband and was later found dead.
Her family wants a special investigation to find out what really happened.
Deepti Chaurasia, 38, was found dead in her home in Vasant Vihar, South West Delhi.
Her mother filed an FIR alleging years of mental and physical abuse by her husband and mother-in-law.
The FIR details incidents of abuse dating back to 2011, including assault during pregnancy and social isolation.
Deepti's family demands a CBI probe into her death, citing concerns over the circumstances.
Police have registered a case against her husband, Arpit, and mother-in-law based on the allegations.
