Global Gender Parity Still 120 Years Away, Report Says

The World Economic Forum studies how equal opportunities are for women and men.

Its newest report says the world still needs about 120 years to reach complete gender parity.

Gender parity means women and men have equal opportunities and outcomes.

This means a girl born today may not see full equality everywhere during her lifetime.

The report also says the world is closer to parity than it has been since 2006.

However, progress is not the same in every country.

India is one of the countries considered in the report.

The report does not provide India’s specific position in the information available here.
