Indian Repair Shop’s Fake iPhone 18 Pro Sparks Viral Reactions
A man took his iPhone 17 Pro to a local repair shop.
When he came home, it looked like he had an iPhone 18 Pro.
But he had not actually received the new phone.
The shop had apparently attached a Burgundy cover made to look like the newer model.
These covers are called converter kits.
A video about it spread quickly online.
Some people thought the trick was funny.
Others called it a clever example of “Jugaad,” but the story has not been independently verified.
A viral video showed a man apparently receiving an “iPhone 18 Pro” after taking an iPhone 17 Pro for repair.
The phone was reportedly an iPhone 17 Pro fitted with a Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro-style converter cover.
The post claimed Indian markets were already selling converter kits for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
