MHA Approves Forensic Institute in J-K
The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved a plan to build a new forensic institute in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
This institute was proposed by AIIMS Jammu to help with collecting evidence, increasing the number of convictions, and making investigations and medical diagnoses faster and more accurate.
The CBI is also involved in this project.
Jammu and Kashmir has been dealing with terrorism for a long time and has two forensic labs already.
The new institute will make it easier for police and defense forces to handle crimes, especially those involving terrorists from different states or countries.
It will have all the necessary services in one place to help with investigations.
Some people think this is a good idea because it will make things more efficient, while others think the existing labs are enough.
MHA approved AIIMS Jammu's proposal for a forensic institute in Samba district, J-K.
Institute aims to consolidate evidence collection, increase conviction rates, and improve investigation and diagnosis.
