Congress Demands Supreme Court Probe Over Ayodhya Temple Donations
Pramod Tiwari, a leader in the Indian National Congress, says that money donated to the Ayodhya Ram temple was stolen.
He says the theft started when the temple bought land for too much money and that the stolen money was used to buy cars and invest in the stock market.
Tiwari wants the Supreme Court to set up a special team to investigate.
He also says the Prime Minister and Home Minister should speak about this in Parliament.
A separate incident happened when a man threw a slipper at another MP during a media event, but that is not part of the donation theft story.
Congress deputy leader Pramod Tiwari demands a Supreme Court‑monitored SIT to investigate alleged donation theft at the Ayodhya Ram temple.
Tiwari alleges embezzlement began during land acquisition, with land bought at 2 crore rupees for 17 crore rupees and donations plundered.
He claims stolen funds were invested in markets, lent out, and used to buy cars, citing 70 thefts in 40 days.
Tiwari criticises the central government, noting ₹113 crore spent on the Prime Minister’s programme during the temple consecration and questioning why PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are absent from Parliament.
The article also reports a separate incident where a man threw a slipper at MP Rajesh Ranjan (Pappu Yadav) during a media interaction, leading to a confrontation.
