Assam Bar Assault: Seven Arrested After Woman Attacked in Guwahati
Police in Guwahati arrested seven people after a woman was allegedly attacked at a bar.
The arrests include three women.
Police say the attack happened at about 2:30 a.m.
on Friday.
They say the woman was assaulted inside the bar and then dragged to the basement.
She was allegedly attacked there again and became partly unconscious.
Police began investigating after a video of the incident appeared on social media.
They have not yet determined what started the assault.
The woman is out of danger but still needs medication.

The woman was allegedly dragged by her hair and clothes to the basement and assaulted again.
Police registered a suo motu case under multiple Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections, including attempted murder and sexual harassment.
