Xi Jinping Expected in Delhi for BRICS Summit

Xi Jinping, China’s president, may travel to India for a BRICS meeting.

The meeting is planned for September 12 and 13 in New Delhi.

China may bring about 400 officials, which would be a large group.

Xi has not visited India since 2019.

India and China have had serious disagreements since fighting and military tensions began near their border in 2020.

The two countries have recently restarted some talks and other forms of cooperation.

Their border problem is not fully solved, and troops remain in the area.

The visit could give the leaders a chance to discuss their relationship, but the plans are not final yet.
