South Africa Introduces 48-Hour ETA for Indian Travellers
South Africa has introduced a new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Indian travellers.
This digital system allows eligible Indian passport holders to apply for travel authorization online, with applications processed within 24 to 48 hours.
The ETA is valid for up to 90 days and is linked to the traveller's passport, enabling multiple entries.
Travellers can apply through the official South African Department of Home Affairs ETA portal, where they need to create an account, upload required documents, verify their identity using smartphone-based biometrics, and pay the application fee.
The ETA is currently available for travellers arriving through specific airports in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Lanseria.
This initiative aims to make travel planning simpler and faster, allowing travellers to focus more on enjoying South Africa's diverse attractions, from wildlife safaris to vibrant cities.
