Sony to Adapt 'Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test' into Film
Sony Pictures is working with Atlas Entertainment to create a movie based on Tom Wolfe's book, 'The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test.'
The book tells the story of Ken Kesey and his group, the Merry Pranksters, who traveled across the country.
The Merry Pranksters were known for their counterculture beliefs, including women’s rights, racial justice, and experimentation with LSD.
Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen, the writers, previously worked on 'Hello Tomorrow'.
The film will be produced by Charles Roven and others, with the estates of Tom Wolfe and Fred Roven involved.
Atlas Entertainment is adapting 'The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test' for Sony Pictures.
Amit Bhalla & Lucas Jansen, the writers of 'Hello Tomorrow,' are writing the adaptation.
Charles Roven, Ryan Sanak, Alexandra Wolfe, Tommy Wolfe, and Daryn Roven will produce.
