Young Indians Drive Star Health’s Digital Insurance Growth

Star Health shared information about people buying health insurance online.

It said many of these customers are young, with about two-thirds under 40.

Nearly six out of ten are salaried workers.

Online customers chose insurance worth about ₹14 lakh on average.

This was higher than the company-wide average of ₹12 lakh.

Some customers also chose extra benefits such as critical illness and hospital cash coverage.

Star Health said its digital business grew 38% during FY26.

The company is using online payments, several Indian languages, artificial intelligence and human advisers to help customers.
