Father, son, 20 others booked for assaulting nurses in UP

In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a father, his son, and around 20 other people were booked for assaulting trainee nurses at a government medical college.

The trouble started when the relatives of a woman getting dialysis thought a nurse was recording a video of her.

The relatives allegedly attacked the nurses, pulled one by her hair, and even tried to force one into a car.

They also touched her inappropriately.

The police are investigating and trying to find out who the other people involved are.

The nurses said they are getting threats and being pressured to drop the complaint.

A video on social media shows a nurse saying the attackers might be linked to a local politician, but he didn't comment on it.
