IIHM Bangalore Transforms Food Waste into Culinary Dishes
Imagine chefs learning to make tasty food from things we usually throw away!
At IIHM Bangalore, students are doing just that.
They're turning food scraps like onion peels and watermelon rinds into new dishes.
This helps reduce waste and teaches future chefs to be creative.
They learned how to dry, powder, and reuse these scraps.
It's a fun challenge to see how to make food and respect the environment.
This new way of cooking also teaches them to think about the cost, and the responsibility of using everything in the kitchen, not just the usual ingredients!
IIHM Bangalore launched a program to promote sustainability.
Students transformed food waste into edible products.
The program used ingredients like peels and seeds.
A competition challenged students to create dishes.
The initiative is part of the institute's sustainability curriculum.
