AAP Seeks CBI Probe Into Sirsa’s Alleged Rice Scam Role

The AAP says some cheap rice meant for poor people may have been given to traders instead.

The party wants the CBI to examine whether Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa had a role.

The CBI has already registered a case about the alleged rice allocation problems.

The rice was supposed to help daily-wage workers and people without ration cards.

AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj says officials in Sirsa’s department discussed the matter with the minister.

He also says the department issued permission for the subsidised rice.

According to the allegation, the rice was later given to a Haryana businessman for a commission.

Sirsa denies the allegations and has threatened legal action.
