Mahayuti Unveils Mumbai Manifesto with AI, Housing, and Transport Promises
The Mahayuti alliance, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena, RPI, and Atawale, has shared their plans for Mumbai in the upcoming civic body elections.
They promise to use technology, like AI, to make the city better.
They want to make Mumbai a 'global powerhouse' by fixing common problems and bringing services to people's phones.
They also plan to give women a 50% discount on bus fares and to remove illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants using an AI tool developed with IIT.
The alliance wants to expand the bus fleet, upgrade hospitals, and make Mumbai flood-free in five years.
They also plan to preserve Marathi culture and improve housing and redevelopment in the city.
The Congress party, however, questions the government's claims about deporting a record number of illegal immigrants, demanding public figures to verify these claims.
Mahayuti alliance promises technology-led governance, including AI to curb corruption and improve service delivery in Mumbai.
The manifesto includes a 50% concession on bus fares for women and plans to expand the BEST bus fleet to 10,000 buses.
The alliance aims to develop an AI tool with IIT to identify and deport illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants, currently at 60% reliability.
A Rs 17,000 crore climate action plan and a 'flood-free Mumbai' initiative are part of the manifesto, with plans to upgrade civic hospitals to AIIMS level.
The manifesto also focuses on preserving Marathi culture, improving housing, and redeveloping areas like Dharavi and 'koliwadas'.
