Hooda Criticizes Haryana Governance Model
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Leader of the Opposition in Haryana, criticized the state's governance model.
He said that since 2018-19, 1,446 factories have either closed or moved away, leading to job losses and economic problems.
He also mentioned that Haryana's debt has increased a lot, and the state is ranked poorly in terms of financial health.
Additionally, he pointed out that corruption cases have gone up by 187% in the last three years.
Hooda blamed the BJP government for not paying attention to the industrial sector and focusing more on propaganda.
He also compared the current situation with the previous Congress government's achievements, like setting up new industrial areas and attracting major industries.
1,446 factories in Haryana have closed or relocated since 2018-19, leading to increased unemployment and economic decline.
Haryana's industrial sector has declined by 12.2% in the past 5 years under the BJP government.
The state's total debt has increased from Rs 60,000 crore (1966-2014) to over Rs 5 lakh crore.
Haryana ranks 14th out of 18 states in NITI Aayog's Fiscal Health Index, with a Debt-to-GSDP ratio of over 31%.
