Flavio Bolsonaro Pledges to Respect Brazil’s Presidential Election Results

Flavio Bolsonaro is running as an opposition candidate in Brazil’s presidential election.

He said he will accept the election results, whether he wins or loses.

He also said he wants to compete using Brazil’s existing election rules.

His father, Jair Bolsonaro, is serving a 27-year prison sentence after being convicted of plotting to stay in power.

Flavio said he would pardon people convicted for the violent riot in Brasilia in January 2023 if he became president.

During the riot, Bolsonaro supporters entered important government buildings.

Flavio also disagreed with the United States imposing tariffs on Brazilian products.

The election is scheduled for October.
