Top Firms See Valuation Jump: LIC Leads Gainers Despite Market Slowdown
Imagine the stock market as a playground where companies are like different toys.
Last week, the total value of some of the most valuable toys increased a lot!
The Life Insurance Corporation of India's toy got the biggest boost.
Other companies like HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel also saw their toy values go up.
But, some toys, such as Reliance Industries, and TCS, became worth less.
Overall, the market saw a slight decline, like a less enthusiastic day at the playground.
The combined market valuation of four of the top-10 firms increased by over ₹1 lakh crore.
LIC experienced the largest gain in market valuation among the top firms.
HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, and State Bank of India also saw increases in their market valuations.
Reliance Industries, TCS, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever Ltd experienced decreases.
The BSE benchmark declined by 270.07 points or 0.33%.
