YSRC Seeks Governor Intervention in Medical College Plans
Imagine the government wants to build new medical schools.
Instead of the government running them directly, they want to let private companies help.
Some people from YSRC, like doctors, are worried about this plan.
They think it's like letting the private companies take over the schools and that it could make it harder for people who don't have much money to become doctors or get medical help.
They also don't like that the government stopped a program called NTR Vaidya Seva, which used to give free medical care to a lot of families.
They're asking the Governor to look into the plan, make sure everyone has a fair chance, and bring back the free medical care program.
YSRC representatives met with the Governor to submit a memorandum.
The memorandum addresses the PPP model for new medical colleges.
Concerns were raised about the PPP model being a form of privatization.
The suspension of the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme was also addressed.
YSRC requested the Governor to investigate and restore the scheme.
