Tezpur University Students Protest Amid Exams
Students at Tezpur University in Assam are protesting and demanding the removal of their Vice-Chancellor, Shambhu Nath Singh.
They also want an investigation into claims of financial mismanagement and other issues.
The protest has been going on for over 85 days, and the university has been shut down.
However, the students agreed to take their end-term exams, which started on Thursday.
After the exams, they plan to intensify their protest and shut down all campus activities.
The students are upset because the government has not officially responded to their demands, and they feel the Vice-Chancellor is not being held accountable.

The protest, led by the Tezpur University United Forum (TUFF), has been ongoing for over 85 days, with demands for an inquiry into alleged financial irregularities and deforestation.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Dhurba Kumar Bhattacharya requested students to participate in exams, which started on Thursday with the original schedule.
