The hotel grows vegetables in its own garden and checks its energy use so nothing is wasted.

It also buys cage-free eggs and is careful about the seafood it uses.

The manager says food is very important, and Kolkata is famous for its food and culture.

After ten years, the hotel hopes it is truly part of the city.
