DRDO Tests Next-Gen Missile from UAV Platform
Imagine a super-smart missile that can be launched from a drone.
The DRDO, a defense organization, just tested a new version called ULPGM-V3.
It's like the older version, but even better!
This missile can find targets day or night, and even change where it aims after it's launched.
It has different heads that can destroy tanks, bunkers, or create a big explosion.
The missile was tested in India and built with help from other companies.
DRDO successfully tested the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM)-V3.
The missile trials took place at the National Open Area Range (NOAR) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
ULPGM-V3 features a high-definition dual-channel seeker and day-and-night operational capability.
It offers modular warhead options, including anti-armour, penetration-cum-blast, and pre-fragmentation.
The missile was launched from a UAV developed by a Bengaluru-based start-up.
