Russia, Ukraine, US Resume Peace Talks
Russia, Ukraine, and the United States are having meetings to try to end the war in Ukraine.
They had their first meeting in Abu Dhabi, and it was called 'constructive.'
They are going to have another meeting on February 1.
Russia says that for there to be a long-term peace, Ukraine needs to withdraw its forces from a place called Donbas.
The Russian government also said that if the Ukrainian president wants to meet with the Russian president, he can come to Moscow, and his safety would be guaranteed.
The talks are very sensitive, so they are not sharing many details publicly.
Trilateral peace talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US will resume in Abu Dhabi on February 1.
The first round of talks in Abu Dhabi was described as 'constructive' by both Kyiv and Washington.
Russia insists that the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas is a must for a long-term settlement.
Kremlin suggests a meeting between Putin and Zelensky could happen if well-prepared and results-oriented.
Details of the negotiations are being kept confidential to avoid disrupting the process.
