Arms consignment dropped by drone seized near IB in J-K’s Samba
Indian officials found some weapons near the border in Jammu and Kashmir.
They think these weapons were dropped by a drone from Pakistan.
The weapons include two guns, some bullets, and a grenade.
The officials are being extra careful because they want to make sure nothing bad happens during the Republic Day celebrations.
They found these weapons in a place called Samba district, near a village named Paloora.
A team of soldiers and police worked together to find and safely open the package.
They are still checking the area to make sure it's safe.
An arms consignment, including two pistols, three magazines, 16 rounds, and a grenade, was recovered near the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district.
The consignment was apparently dropped by a drone from Pakistan and was found in a forward area near the border.
The recovery was made by a joint team of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police during a search operation in Paloora village of Ghagwal.
The search operation was conducted late Friday night following information about suspected movement of a drone from across the border.
The recovery was made amid heightened security to prevent any attempt by terrorists to disrupt the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, and the operation was still continuing when last reports were received.
