K-Pop Demon Hunter's Song "Golden" Breaks Record with 900+ PAKs
A song called "Golden" by the fictional group HUNTR/X from the show "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has broken a K-pop record.
It's the first song ever to get over 900 "Perfect All-Kills" – meaning it was number one on all the important South Korean music charts at the same time.
Before this, NewJeans had the record.
People are talking about whether other songs can beat it, with some fans suggesting the song's popularity with kids might be the secret to its success.
The event raises questions about how music becomes popular and if songs from shows on streaming platforms can outpace real K-pop stars.
HUNTR/X's song "Golden" from "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has become the first song to surpass 900 Perfect All-Kills (PAKs).
A Perfect All-Kill means a song is ranked No. 1 on all major South Korean music charts simultaneously.
Prior to "Golden," NewJeans' "Ditto" held the record with 655 PAKs, followed by BTS' "Dynamite" with 610.
