TTD to standardize hygienic 'annaprasadam' across temples
The TTD Executive Officer, Anil Kumar Singhal, has ordered that all temples under TTD must serve 'annaprasadam' (sacred food) that is clean, tasty, and of high quality, just like the Tirumala temple.
He wants to train the kitchen staff and make sure daily reports are kept on the food given to devotees.
He also asked officials to find out about non-Hindu employees working in TTD departments.
Additionally, he plans to make a detailed report on the number of priests and other staff needed for all temples.
There will be new rules (SOPs) for each temple to make things run smoothly.
The kitchen workers will soon be given new job titles.
The TTD will also focus on improving the Sri Venkateswara temple in Venkatapalem, Amaravati, by adding new buildings and facilities.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary directed officials to pay special attention to private temples, especially during festivals, to ensure safety and hygiene.
TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal directed standardisation of 'annaprasadam' quality across all TTD temples.
Training programmes will be arranged for 'potu' (temple kitchen) staff to improve food preparation.

Comprehensive report to be prepared on staffing needs for historical and newly added temples.
