37 Maharashtra Pilgrims Depart Tibet for Kathmandu After Intervention

Thirty-seven people from Maharashtra went on a religious trip called the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

They became stuck in Saga, Tibet, while trying to return.

Floods in Nepal made travel difficult.

On Friday morning, they left Saga at about 6 a.m.

They travelled through the Nyalam checkpoint toward Kathmandu.

They had a flight from Kathmandu planned for 2 p.m.

on August 29.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asked India’s Ministry of External Affairs to help them.

The pilgrims thanked the chief minister, Maharashtra officials, and the ministry.

The reports mainly say the group was travelling safely toward Kathmandu, although one headline says they had already reached it.
