Bangladesh Seeks Interpol Red Notice for Ex-Army Chief

Bangladesh’s chief prosecutor wants Interpol to help locate former army chief Aziz Ahmed.

The request is for a Red Notice, which asks police in other countries to help find a wanted person.

Aziz is accused in a case involving a 2013 crackdown.

The allegations include genocide and crimes against humanity.

The crackdown happened at Motijheel’s Shapla Chattar and in Narayanganj.

Prosecutors say Aziz is living outside Bangladesh.

A tribunal has already issued an arrest warrant for him and other people.

The charges are allegations, and the tribunal process is continuing.
