India-Mongolia Direct Flights Cut New Delhi-Ulaanbaatar Travel Time
India and Mongolia now have a direct airplane route between their capitals.
Hunnu Air will operate the flight every Monday.
The trip takes about five hours.
Before this, travelers usually had to change planes in places such as Beijing or Incheon.
Those journeys could take 13 to 18 hours.
The new flight may help tourists, business travelers and medical travelers.
Mongolian visitors can more easily reach Buddhist sites in India, while Indian visitors can explore Mongolia.
The route may also make it easier and cheaper to move goods between the countries.
