Karnataka Denies Tapping Governor's Phones
In the Karnataka Assembly, the BJP accused the Congress government of tapping phones at Lok Bhavan.
This came after a minister said the Governor was getting calls from Delhi and following instructions from the Centre.
The BJP members were upset and said the government was spying on the Governor.
The Chief Minister denied these allegations and said the government does not tap phones.
The Governor had earlier refused to read a speech prepared by the state, which mentioned criticisms of the Central government.
The Assembly got very noisy and had to take a break for lunch.
Later, the Chief Minister again said the government does not tap phones, but the BJP members were not satisfied and kept asking for an explanation.
