Keralam Minister Says Government Hospital Medicine Shortage Nearly Resolved

Keralam’s health minister said medicine shortages in government hospitals were almost fixed.

He said one medicine for haemophilia had arrived, but another was not available anywhere in the country.

Protests had first focused on medicines being unavailable.

The minister said medical-negligence allegations were raised later.

He said an investigation found that the person mentioned in those allegations had not been admitted to the hospital.

He also said he had not removed doctors from Pariyaram Medical College.

The minister expected the issue might be discussed in the Assembly.

He said he had details and evidence ready to answer questions.
