UP Mafia Don Wives Still Evading Police After Homicides
In Uttar Pradesh, India, the police are looking for the wives of several mafia leaders who were killed in the last few years.
One of them, Afsha Ansari, is accused of buying a gun with a licence in her name and helping her husband’s gang.
The police say she and other wives helped plan crimes, so they are wanted fugitives.
They have offered money rewards for information about them.
The police have also attached Afsha’s property and asked national agencies to watch her in case she tries to leave the country.
Uttar Pradesh police filed a fresh criminal case against Afsha Ansari, wife of deceased mafia lord Mukhtar Ansari, for arms licence misuse and conspiracy.
Afsha, along with wives of other slain dons (Shaista Parveen, Zainab Fatima, Ayesha Noori), remain missing and are wanted fugitives, with cash rewards offered for their capture.
Police allege the women played conspiratorial roles in their husbands’ criminal activities, including murder conspiracies and gun smuggling.
Authorities have attached Afsha’s properties under the Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities Act and sought central agency lookout notices after intelligence of possible overseas escape.
The case also involves missing firearms records, alleged collusion with district magistrate staff, and other related charges under the Arms Act.
