Araghchi: Iran Forced Enemies to Request Negotiations After War
Iran's top diplomat, Araghchi, spoke at a meeting in Tehran.
He said Iran fought a war with the United States and Israel.
He said Iran was a tough and unbeatable power.
He said Iran surprised the whole world by not giving up.
He told people that other countries called Iran's performance a miracle.
He said Iran won the war and also won honour and dignity.
He thanked the doctors and citizens who kept working during the fighting.
Meanwhile, America's president, Trump, said the US controls the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump also said the US wants money from Iran for damage done over many years.
The two leaders are telling very different stories about the war.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said Iran proved itself a "tough and invincible power" during the recent war with the US and Israel.
Araghchi claimed Tehran forced its opponents to seek negotiations and that Iran "won the war" as well as diplomacy, morality, honour and dignity.
He made the remarks at a meeting on diplomacy and health at Iran's Ministry of Health, praising the resistance of armed forces, civilians and medical workers.
US President Donald Trump said Washington had "100 per cent control" over the Strait of Hormuz and described the US naval presence there as an effective blockade.
Trump said Iran had sought reparations for US-caused damage, while warning that Washington would seek compensation from Tehran for damages allegedly caused by Iran over several decades.
