Gift Nifty Signals Lower Open as Oil and Yields Rise

Gift Nifty Signals Lower Open as Oil and Yields Rise

Indian stocks were expected to start lower on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Gift Nifty, an early clue about the market opening, traded below earlier futures prices on both mornings.

The Nifty and Sensex had also fallen in the sessions before each forecast.

Oil became more expensive after renewed fighting and tensions between the United States and Iran.

Higher oil prices can increase worries about inflation.

Bond yields rose in several major markets as investors sold bonds.

Analysts said the Nifty’s 24,000 level was important support.

If that level holds, the market could bounce, but a break below it could lead to more selling.

Experts also suggested stock-specific trading ideas, but these were not guarantees of profit.
