Delhi Metro Expands Interchange Hubs
The Delhi Metro is getting bigger and better!
They are adding more stations where you can switch between different metro lines easily.
Right now, there's only one station like this called Kashmere Gate.
But soon, three more stations—Azadpur, New Delhi, and Lajpat Nagar—will also become big hubs.
This will make traveling around Delhi much faster and easier.
For example, Azadpur will connect the Yellow, Pink, and Magenta lines, so you can go from North to South Delhi without changing trains too many times.
The New Delhi station will connect the Yellow Line, Airport Express Line, and Green Line, making it easier to get to the airport.
The Lajpat Nagar station will connect the Violet, Pink, and upcoming Golden lines, helping people move around South Delhi better.
These changes are part of Phase IV and Phase V (A) of the Delhi Metro project.
They will help reduce traffic and pollution and make it easier for people to get to work, school, and other important places.
Delhi Metro is expanding to add three new triple-interchange stations: Azadpur, New Delhi, and Lajpat Nagar.
Azadpur will connect Yellow, Pink, and Magenta lines, improving north-south connectivity.
New Delhi station will link Yellow Line, Airport Express Line, and Green Line, enhancing airport connectivity.
Lajpat Nagar will connect Violet, Pink, and upcoming Golden lines, strengthening east-west and north-south links in South Delhi.
These expansions are part of Phase IV and Phase V (A) of the Delhi Metro project, aiming to reduce travel time and improve cross-city connectivity.
