Odisha MLA's Remarks Trigger Political Storm, Spark Backlash

An Odisha BJP MLA, Santosh Khatua, is facing controversy after allegedly making offensive comments about BJD leader Lekhashree Samantasinghar.

Samantasinghar had accused Khatua of being involved in the killing of an elephant and stealing its tusks.

In response, Khatua made derogatory remarks, sparking widespread criticism and demands for an apology from the BJD.

At least three FIRs were filed against Khatua.

The BJP is defending Khatua, saying the accusations are false and that the BJD is trying to damage the BJP's image.
