Madhira gets underground power cables to ensure uninterrupted supply during cyclones
Imagine electricity wires usually run on poles above the ground, like strings.
But during strong winds or heavy rain, these wires can break, and the power goes out.
To fix this, the government is putting the power wires underground in a town called Madhira.
This is like tucking the wires safely under the ground.
This way, even if there are big storms, the electricity will keep working.
They are also getting special 'electricity ambulances' that can quickly fix any power problems.
This project is a first step to make sure everyone in the state gets safe and reliable power, helping everything from farms to schools work better.
Madhira town is getting underground power cables to ensure continuous electricity supply during severe weather events like cyclones.
The project, costing Rs 27.76 crore, involves laying 3.5 km of 33 kV lines, 17.3 km of 11 kV lines, and 15 km of LT lines.
Underground cables will replace existing overhead lines across major stretches of Madhira, enhancing the town's aesthetics and reducing hazards.
The government is also deploying 'Electricity Ambulances' across assembly constituencies for prompt response to power outages.
This initiative is part of a broader vision to modernize the power sector and achieve a sustainable economy in Telangana.
