Mumbai Police Arrest 10 in ₹16 Lakh Engineering Admission Fraud

Some people in Mumbai tricked a student into paying 16 lakh rupees by promising to get them into an engineering college.

The police found out about the trick and arrested 10 people.

The tricksters put paid advertisements on social media to find students who wanted college admission.

They even took students to visit private university campuses to make their promise look real.

They said they could get students admitted through something called the NRI or management quota.

The police took away about 22 mobile phones and other items from the suspects.

All the seized items are worth about 1.35 crore rupees.

The police are still investigating to find out how many students were tricked.
