Bihar Allots Bungalows to Senior MLAs
The Bihar government has decided to give 15 extra houses to some important lawmakers who are not ministers.
These houses are from a special pool in Patna.
The lawmakers will have to pay a small rent for these extra houses.
The opposition party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, is upset and says this is a waste of public money.
The extra houses will be for senior lawmakers like the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and leaders of the Legislative Council.
They will get these houses in addition to the ones they already have.
Bihar Cabinet approved allotment of 15 houses from Patna Central Pool to senior MLAs.
Senior legislators, including Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Legislative Council leaders, will receive additional accommodation.
Beneficiaries will pay a nominal monthly rent for the extra houses.
Opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal criticizes the decision as a misuse of taxpayers' money.
The allotment is in addition to the constituency-wise accommodation already provided to legislators.
