UDAN Scheme Connects 93 Airports Nationwide
The UDAN scheme has made 651 flight routes available across India, connecting 93 airports that weren't well-served before.
This includes 15 heliports and 2 water aerodromes.
In Uttar Pradesh alone, 87 routes are now operational, connecting 12 airports.
The government has also announced a new version of the UDAN scheme to add 120 more destinations in the next 10 years.
So far, over 157 lakh passengers have used these flights.
The government has also approved 24 new airports, with 13 already open.
The safety of these flights is checked regularly to make sure everything is safe.
