CERT-In Warns of Critical iOS and macOS Vulnerabilities in Apple Devices
Imagine your Apple phone or computer has tiny secret doors that bad guys could use to sneak in and steal your information or mess with your device.
India's computer security team, called CERT-In, found these secret doors in many Apple devices, like iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
These doors are in important parts of the device's brain and the web browser.
If the doors aren't fixed, someone could take your private stuff, like passwords, or even control your whole device.
CERT-In is telling everyone to update their Apple devices right away to close these doors.
They also suggest turning on automatic updates and only downloading apps from safe places.
CERT-In has flagged high-severity vulnerabilities affecting multiple Apple operating systems and apps.
The flaws are present in older versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, Safari, and Xcode.
Weaknesses in components like the Kernel, WebKit, CoreAnimation, and Siri could allow for arbitrary code execution and data theft.
Exploitation of these vulnerabilities could lead to unauthorized access, service interruptions, and complete system takeover.
CERT-In strongly advises users to update their devices to the latest versions and enable automatic updates.
