Embraer Expands India Supply Chain Across Aerospace, Defence

Embraer is a company that makes airplanes and defence aircraft.

It wants to use more Indian companies to build and support its aircraft.

The company has been studying Indian suppliers for several years.

These suppliers could make parts, materials, software, and other equipment.

Embraer has agreements with Hindalco Industries and Bharat Forge, and Mahindra is also involved.

Embraer and Adani Defence & Aerospace are exploring an aircraft assembly line for the E175 in India.

The partnership may also include repairs, spare parts, pilot training, and future aircraft orders.

If India chooses Embraer’s C390 for a military transport programme, the company says it could build a maintenance hub with Mahindra.

Embraer also wants Indian small businesses and engineering firms to join its global supply chain.
