Shweta Tripathi Sharma and SlowCheeta Return Together to Theatre
Shweta Tripathi Sharma and SlowCheeta are a real-life couple who are acting together in a play.
They met through theatre 13 years ago.
Their new play is called External Affairs.
In the play, they act like two people meeting and learning about each other for the first time.
This was difficult because they already know each other very well.
They practiced by thinking about stories from their single friends.
The audience is close to the actors and becomes part of the show.
Shweta also talked about returning as Golu Gupta in Mirzapur: The Movie.
She and SlowCheeta say they help each other learn, stay healthy and grow.
Shweta Tripathi Sharma and Chaitnya Sharma, known as SlowCheeta, are performing together in External Affairs.
The couple met 13 years ago while working on the theatre production The Interview.
External Affairs features four actors, with the audience treated as the show’s “fifth actor.”
The pair had to recreate the awkwardness of a first date despite being together for 13 years.
Shweta is also returning as Golu Gupta in Mirzapur: The Movie, while the fourth season is being written.
