Indian Youths Trafficked to Myanmar for Cyber Scams
Three young men from India were tricked into going to Myanmar for jobs they saw advertised online.
Once there, they were forced to work long hours in scams where they pretended to be in love with people online or convinced them to invest money in fake applications.
They were not allowed to leave, and if they tried, they were threatened or hurt.
Luckily, all three were rescued and brought back to India.
The police are now trying to find out more about how this happened and who is responsible.
The victims met other people who were also tricked and brought to Myanmar, showing that this is a big problem involving many people from different states in India.
Three Indian youths were trafficked to Myanmar through job offers on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
They were forced to work in cyber-slavery hubs running 'love-scam', 'dating and trading', and investment scams.
